Deal island 2005 and 2009

In both 2005 and 2009 I was able to spend three months at a time as a Volunteer Caretaker for the Parks and Wildlife Service on this remote island in Bass Strait. While not a formal residency, I was able to set up a studio space and have dedicated studio time, which helped to start my career as a professional artist.
